What is Accelerated Resolution Therapy or ART?

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a short-term therapy that helps people feel better quickly. It builds on proven methods from other therapies but works faster. ART uses a mix of creative imagination, body awareness, and eye movements to gently change how you think about and respond to difficult memories. After ART, those memories no longer trigger upsetting feelings or reactions.

Unlike other therapies like EMDR, ART does not require you to talk about your trauma or do homework between sessions. Many people feel significant relief after just one session, with most needing 1-5 sessions. ART is often a comfortable, even enjoyable, experience as it focuses on moving you quickly from discomfort to relief and positive change.

With ART, we say, “Keep the memories, lose the pain.” You’ll still remember the details of past events, but they won’t bring up strong emotions or physical reactions anymore. During a session, you stay in control while I guide you at your own pace. Your brain works to create new connections, building on your strength and resilience. ART is an empowering experience that leads to long-lasting positive changes.

For Veterans
If you’re a Veteran, I would be honored to work with you. I have years of experience helping Veterans with PTSD, military sexual trauma (MST), depression, and anxiety. With Veterans being among my loved ones, I understand the unique challenges you may face and have a deep passion for helping you regain control of your life. ART is recognized as an effective, evidence-based therapy for PTSD.

ART doesn't work only on combat-related PTSD - Here are some other issues that have been quickly and effectively treated by ART:

  • Anxiety
    Depression
    Phobias
    Panic Attacks
    Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
    Post Traumatic Stress (PTS)
    Addictions/ Substance Abuse
    Performance Anxiety
    Family Issues
    Victimization/Poor Self Image
    Victimization/Sexual Abuse
    Relationship Issues/Infidelity
    Codependency
    Grief
    Job-Related Stress
    Pain Management
    Memory Enhancement
    Dyslexia Anxiety

Even if other therapies haven’t worked, ART can help you heal from trauma, stress, anxiety, and PTSD—quickly and comfortably. Imagine feeling calm, confident, and in control again—free of flashbacks, nightmares, panic attacks, and avoidance.

If talk therapy, exposure therapy, or EMDR didn’t bring you relief, ART can help. I’ve trained in many trauma therapies, and while they often helped people manage symptoms, they didn’t fully resolve the trauma. ART is different.

After experiencing an ART session myself, I knew it was special. Just one session resolved my broken heart after a painful end to a relationship. My triggers disappeared, I slept better, and even my physical health improved. That memory is now distant and calm, like any other day in my life. Inspired by my results, I became a Master ART Clinician to help others take back their lives too.

ART for Personal Growth and Performance

ART isn’t just for healing—it can also help with personal growth and performance. It can break limiting beliefs, replace bad habits with good ones, and boost motivation. I’ve used ART to help clients improve their eating or exercise habits, make big life decisions, or enhance performance in sports, arts, and business.

After ART, clients often say they feel lighter, stronger, more confident, and free. If you’re ready to experience these changes, let’s work together to help you heal and thrive.

ART therapy will be offered as part of ongoing therapy for established weekly or bi-weekly clients using insurance as space allows. Already have a good relationship with your current therapist? Stuck on certain traumatic issues or sensations? Services are also offered on a stand-alone basis to treat acute issues so you can continue to work with your current therapist after completing a course of ART with Devon.

Reach out for stand-alone rates: Stand alone services are considered pre-paid and will require payment in full prior to beginning treatment. For stand-alone services Devon is unable to take insurance at this time. There may be discounts available based on income or for service personnel. Please reach out for more information.
